Regenerative Medicine
Surgery is not the solution in all situations.
We currently have various methods that can be used in all those patients who have symptoms affecting the hip joint that do not require surgical treatment.
In fact, we are talking about infiltrative therapy, ozone therapy, PRP, lipofilling from adipose tissue.
Patients with mild damage to the articular cartilage of the femoral head, who have undergone physiotherapy without real benefit, can avail themselves of these replacement therapies.
These therapies, which can be performed on an outpatient basis and often with a light local anesthesia to avoid pain during inoculation at the level of the treated joint, represent a valid alternative to surgery, especially in younger patients, those who are inoperable.
They do not require hospitalization.
It is essential to emphasize that the choice of the most suitable therapy depends on the individual characteristics of each patient and the severity of the pathology. Only an accurate evaluation, carried out by a specialist, can identify the most effective treatment.
Gli approcci conservativi del Dr. Giacomi
Infiltrative therapy
It involves the injection of anti-inflammatory drugs or viscosupplementation directly into the joint, with the aim of reducing pain and improving joint mobility.
Ozone therapy
It consists of the injection of medical ozone, a gas with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can stimulate tissue regeneration.
PRP
It is a regenerative therapy that uses the patient's own platelet-rich plasma, injected into the joint to promote the repair of damaged tissue.
Lipofilling
It consists of taking adipose tissue from the patient and injecting it into the joint, providing a lubricating and regenerative effect.
